Every day, every student, whatever it takes.

As your superintendent/principal, it is my goal to know every student by name and by need. The Spring Grove staff, and Board of Trustees are committed to providing the best academic programs possible for our students, as well as focusing on interventions, extra-curricular activities and addressing the social emotional needs this year. Through the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and the District goals, we have developed actions and services to meet the needs of all students:

  • Extended Day Intervention for 1st-3rd graders
  • After School Tutoring for 4th-8th graders
  • One to one technology at all grade levels
  • Upgraded the library with $20,000 in new children’s literature
  • Zero period Geometry Class for 8th graders
  • i-Ready online reading and math program at all grade levels
  • Push in intervention support for all TK-3rd grades
  • Push in/pull out ELD support for all 4th-8th grades
  • Hands on manipulatives for math and science
  • AVID training – 35 teachers and 3 administrators
  • Orton Gillingham comprehensive training for staff
  • Science of Reading training and curriculum for staff
  • 4th-8th grade lunch time  clubs- student generated (every Thursday)
  • Band program (4th-8th grade)
  • Common Sense Social Media education at all grade levels
  • Footsteps 2 Brilliance for TK-3rd grade
  • Spanish translation for parent meetings
  • New classroom computers for all teachers
  • Dyslexia screening
  • 2 School Psychologists to support student social emotional needs and Special Education Students
  • Professional development in math, Science of Reading, Orton Gillingham, science, AVID, English Learners
  • Funds for deferred maintenance- for campus beautification.

The District will continue to focus on the needs of our students so that all students can be successful. Our vision is “Student learning is our priority and purpose.”
